February Treat of the Month – ” Be Mine Hearty Cookies “
Show your beloved furry four legged friend how much you love them with these tasty Valentine treats!
Ingredients:
2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Wheat Bran
2 Cups Cooked Ground Turkey
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
3/4 Cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth
3 Tbsp Fresh Parsley
1 Large Egg
Carob Chips, Sprinkles (optional for garnish)
Pre-Heat Oven to 350 Degrees
Mix all dry ingredients + Cooked Turkey in large mixing bowl. Slowly add olive oil, chicken broth, and egg one at a time scraping down sides of bowl.
Once mixture forms a thick dough prepare a lightly floured surface to roll out 1/4 thick.
Cut out desired shapes and bake for 30 minutes.
Once cookies are completely cooled. Garnish with melted Carob chips or sprinkles (remember less is always more, pets can not have too much sugar and NEVER CHOCOLATE!) Don’t forget treats should never take the place of a pets actual diet.
